Year 7 Camp Out

From yesterday afternoon through to this morning, over 200 year 7's have been camping out and taking part in outdoor activities on our sports field. Students were rotated around four sets of activities: tennis/netball, capture the flag, rounders, and garden games. Who let me Mr Pope and Mr Beattie near water pistols again?! Although we think the senior students got their revenge. There was a break for some karaoke and dancing, followed by transforming our wonderful outdoor Secret Theatre into the Secret Cinema with a short film. The outdoor venue was particularly magical in the twilight, with dragonflies and butterflies surrounding students and staff. The evening was ended with our traditional firepits, with marshmallow-roasting and s'mores-making. Students were then ushered to their tents for bed, and have packed up and gone home this morning with some marvellous memories.

Well done to our amazing year 7's for bringing their enthusiasm and energy, and a huge thanks to the senior students and staff that spared their evening, night, and morning to support this event!
