Our Values

Admissions Overview

Court Moor benefits from a great local reputation, a strong relationship with the community and is therefore regularly over-subscribed for places. The school prides itself on a caring approach to staff and students, without compromising rigorous academic standards. The school has always had a fairly traditional GCSE curriculum coupled with a broader commitment to the enrichment of the student experience.

The school is divided into year groups, and tutor groups are formed from within those year groups. Each year is led by a teacher who is the Head of Year and supported by a team of pastoral staff. This structure allows the Head of Year to get to know their students really well and guide them through the varying experiences of Court Moor life.

The school’s traditional values are reflected in our uniform and in the approach to education. Whilst we have a number of dedicated IT suites and mobile devices, we are not a school where students are required to bring their own computers to school for lessons. Quite simply we don’t believe that the modern generation suffer from not spending enough time in front of a screen! School for us, is for that interaction, to develop those face-to-face social skills - technology is a useful tool, but not the focus of a Court Moor education.

Please take the time to browse the website and read more about us. I am confident that it will give you a flavour of what the school is about and what we stand for. Thank you for showing an interest in joining Court Moor and we look forward to welcoming you to our school in the near future.

Guidance on applying for a Hampshire school place in year can be found here on the Hampshire County Council website.

You can apply online, via the Hampshire County Council site, or request an application form from the school. If there is a place available, we will arrange an appointment with a member of our Pastoral staff to discuss your son/daughter’s transition to Court Moor.
