School Computer System Guides
For parents/carers, the school uses various computer systems to help with different aspects of school life for both parents/carers and students. For parents/carers these are principally limited to two systems, SCOPAY and EduLink One, which are detailed below:
SCOPAY (Cashless Catering) – For adding credit to catering card, paying trips etc. The system is provided by Tucasi. Please see the School Meals page on our website for further details.
EduLink One
The school sends emails and text messages using EduLink One. It is not necessary to use the website/app to receive these messages, as they will go to your email account/phone, but if you want to use the website/app it will allow you to:
- view a copy of messages from the school
- view your child’s timetable
- view your child’s homework tasks
- view your child’s reports
- change your details e.g. email address
- view your child’s attendance record
- view your child’s exam timetable (when relevant)
- book parents’ evening appointments
- book clubs/extra-curricular
- log absence, although this can also be done via the school Reception (01252 615 065) or Admin Office email address (adminoffice@court-moor.hants.sch.uk)
If you have opted to receive email from the school during the onboarding process, you will receive your login for EduLink One via email from the Admin Office (adminoffice@court moor.hants.sch.uk) within the first few days of Autumn term. We strongly recommend you whitelist the adminoffice@court-moor.hants.sch.uk address to ensure you receive emails from the school without issue. Parents can access EduLink One via https://www.edulinkone.com/#!/login?code=courtmoor or the smartphone app, also called EduLink One. The school ID for the smartphone app is ‘courtmoor’.
We recommend ensuring you have allowed notifications from the app, which you can check as follows:
For Apple devices:
- on your phone go to Settings
- scroll down to ‘Notifications’
- scroll down to ‘EduLink One’
- in here ensure that ‘Allow Notifications’ is switched on
- we recommend ensuring that all alert types are ticked, that the ‘Banner Style’ is set to ‘Persistent’, and that ‘Sounds’ and ‘Badges’ are switched on
- you should now receive notifications when new app messages come through
For Android devices:
- on your phone go to Settings | Applications Manager
- scroll down your list of apps until you find EduLink One and select it
- in here there will be a tick box that says ‘Show notifications’ ensure this is selected
- you should now receive notifications when new app messages come through
For any issues with EduLink One contact itservices@court-moor.hants.sch.uk. You can update your contact details through EduLink One by selecting “update information”, or by contacting the school reception on 01252 615 065 adminoffice@court-moor.hants.sch.uk
Students joining at the start of year 7 will have an assembly on how to use the homework function with EduLink One. Students access EduLink using the same website/app as parents/carers, but they login using the same details as a classroom PC. For convenience, there is also a link to the EduLink One login page within RM Unify, a system that they will use frequently during their time at school.
For students, they might use a number of IT systems in their time at Court Moor. The three principal systems they are are RM Unify, EduLink One, and Sparx. These and the login processes are detailed below:
RM Unify
As the name suggests, this brings together shortcuts to a number of IT resources that students will use during their time here. It can be accessed as follows:
Direct link = https://courtmoor.rmunify.com (googling “court moor unify” will also have the site as the top result, which is typically easier for students to remember)
EduLink One
This is similar to the version that parents use, although students login to it with their classroom PC details. There are a variety of ways to get to the login page, as follows:
1. Directly, via https://edulinkone.com
2. Via the tile in RM Unify
3. Googling “edulink” will give the login page as the top result
4. Using the smartphone app
Sparx Reader/Maths/Science
This is used by the english, maths, and science departments.
If using a computer with a web browser we recommend the following. See below if using a mobile device.
The summary version of the process is that students login to Unify, open Mail to get a Microsoft 365 browser cookie, then login to Sparx which will use that cookie. The full set of steps are as follows:
1. Login to Unify by browsing to https://courtmoor.rmunify.com (or google "court moor unify" and pick the top result), then login using your classroom computer details
2. To get a cookie in the browser for Microsoft 365, click on the Mail tile
3. Go back to the Unify tab and click on the “Sparx Reader” or “Sparx Science” tile as required
4. On the Sparx site click “Log in” (top right)
5. On the following page click “Log in to Sparx using Microsoft”
6. If prompted to select an email address then choose the student's school email address
7. Sparx should now be signed in
8. If logging into Sparx again on the same device, it should be possible to start at step 3
For a mobile device, in general terms students find the relevant Sparx site, login with their email address, which then forwards them to RM Unify to login.
1. On the mobile web browser, open the relevant Sparx website (these can be found by googling “sparx reader” etc.)
2. Select “Log in” (top right)
3. Enter the school name. Typing “court” is usually sufficient, and the school can be selected from there
4. Select “Log in to Sparx using Microsoft”
5. Enter the student email address, which will be in the form of the classroom login username appended with @courtmoorschool.net e.g. bloggsfred@courtmoorschool.net, then select “Next” which should take you to the RM Unify login page
6. Enter the classroom login password on the RM Unify page and select “Sign in”
7. To remain signed in on a device that is not shared, select “Don’t show this again” and then select “Yes”. Otherwise select “No”
8. Sparx should now be signed in
Please let us know if your child has any issue logging into the above systems by emailing itservices@court-moor.hants.sch.uk with their details and a summary of the problem.
