Future Pathways

There are lots of options available when you leave secondary school. Most of our students go to college to study A-levels, but there are other things you can do. Most people have heard of A-levels, but students are sometimes not sure about T-levels, vocational courses or how apprenticeships work. We run a series of assemblies in Years 10 and 11 to explain the differences, including presentations from colleges and apprenticeship providers, but there are other ways you can find out more.

Springpod (https://www.dfe.springpod.com/) is a great place to start. As well as virtual work experience, they also offer courses on T-levels, Higher Technical Qualifications and Apprenticeships.

Another option is the government’s Skills For Careers website (https://www.skillsforcareers.education.gov.uk/your-training-options), which breaks down the differences between every post-16 study and training route.
