Springpod

We recommend the Springpod (www.springpod.com) website to all students and their parents and carers.

Springpod is a virtual work experience platform, with over 100 courses available. It is supported by some of the biggest companies in the UK, such as Barclays, Amazon and Rolls-Royce. Springpod constantly adds new content, but most students will be able to find a suitable course for a job or area they would like to explore.

The experiences range from intensive courses of 5-7 hours in duration, to shorter ‘Sprint’ courses of under an hour. All courses include video content and interactive quizzes; some courses include challenges where students are required to submit a response.

Upon completion, students can download a certificate and add the details of the course to their CV.

Springpod also offers students the chance to virtually explore universities. Over 20 of the UK’s top universities have created ‘subject spotlights’ and offer virtual campus tours.
