Clubs Showcase: Thursday

This week we are highlighting some of the forty clubs and other extra-curricular activities we typically run across the week. We are very proud of our varied and extensive offering and hope that as many students as possible will book onto one or more.

Today we had the following popular clubs. Christmas Club: students complete festively themed craft projects. Library Squad: students complete a hugely varied number of activities centred around books e.g. bookmark making, puzzles, quizzes, book review, recipes and baking. Poetry by Heart: students learn poems that are then recorded and entered into the Poetry by Heart competition. Wind Ensemble: one of our student music clubs for wind based instruments. GCSE Art: in support of our key stage four Art students. Year 11 Further Maths: more challenging maths that can lead on to the additional GCSE. PE clubs: Badminton (years 10/11), Boys Rugby (years 9-11), Year 7 Netball, and Running Club. Our PE clubs focus on skill learning and refinement, and match play and tactics where relevant.
