Year 7 Geography

Mrs Young’s Year 7 geographers have been getting to grips with Ordnance Survey maps as part of their first topic, ‘What is a Geographer?’

There was plenty of excitement as students explored huge maps of the local area, locating Court Moor School and, of course, seeing who could find their own home! They also investigated different road types and began developing their understanding of map symbols. They were obviously enjoying themselves as when it was time to pack the maps away, the response was: “Just a few more minutes, Miss!”

A great start to their geography journey!
