Year 8 Work Experience Sessions
Back
Year 8 came off their usual timetable yesterday morning for a variety of work experience sessions.
To support these sessions we had several visitors in the school, all of which introduced their sessions with details about career paths and qualifications required.
- Our local Police Community Support Officer covered careers in the police, with a task for student groups to write up an incident report
- Two different sessions with Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust, covering the types of clothing and hygiene required in an operating theatre, cardiopulmonary resuscitation with a training mannequin, and the vast number of jobs within the NHS
- Tutors from Farnborough College of Technology covering construction related jobs, with a task for student groups to build a bridge from paper that could carry the most weight
- Four Seasons hotel in Hook covering hospitality jobs, with a task for student groups to design a 24 hour itinerary for a family of four
A huge thanks to all our visitors for volunteering their time with the students!
