Year 11 West Wittering

Our GCSE geographers recently took to the beach at West Wittering to complete a variety of fieldwork investigations. Students had the opportunity to take part in various tasks which included investigating the sand dunes ecosystem, analysing the effectiveness of the beach management strategies, and calculating longshore drift directions.

This was the first opportunity our Year 11 students have had to complete any fieldwork due to Covid restrictions, so it was great to see them enjoying the fieldwork and putting their skills to practice.
