Dear Parent/Carer

It is with very great pleasure that I invite you to Court Moor School's Open Evening on 30th September running from 3.30pm to 8pm. The Open Evening provides a great opportunity for children and families to learn about Court Moor’s ethos, curriculum, extra-curricular programmes and facilities.

We recommend that those of you who live close to the school walk to the event, as there is limited onsite parking and the local roads are difficult to navigate when there is heavy traffic.

Unfortunately, we haven't been able to run the Open Evening in quite the way we would usually because we're being mindful of the Covid situation. Whilst we'd love to have a long enough time for parents to roam the site, with a free-for-all wander round, it has all the makings of a super-spreader event, so we have designed the evening to give you a flavour of the school without compromising the safety of staff, students or visitors.

We will be asking parents to book an arrival time, which can be booked via this LINK

On the evening you will be put into small groups and remain with the same group for the rest of the evening to minimise contact. The Open Evening will include a Head's speech, a tour round the site with two students where you will meet department staff and then informal Q&A sessions with various school staff if you have any burning questions. The tours are staggered and we have less interactive elements and students involved than previously to reduce the number of potential contacts across the evening. I am confident that you will still get a strong sense of the school and we encourage parents to follow up the Open Evening with a tour in the day which gives you an authentic view of the school day-to-day – our open mornings are on Wednesday 6 October and Thursday 7 October and details of how to book a slot will be sent to you shortly.
