Latest Career Café Talks
BackWe have had two more presentations as part of our Career Café series.
A couple of weeks back, ex-pupil Jagwinder Kaur came to talk to our students about the World of Corporate Law.
Jagwinder qualified as a corporate solicitor in a silver circle firm in the City. She has mentored many young people over the past five years and helped them in their pursuit to secure a career in law, as well as delivering workshops and careers events to students. She is an ambassador for the organisation Aspiring Solicitors and co-founded the Aspiring Solicitors Asian Scholarship
She talked to around 40 students from all year groups about working in the City, the route into a career in law and general career advice.

Last Thursday (9th June) saw over 40 students from year 7-10 come to listen to ex-pupil Will Jenkinson talk about being a British Airways Pilot. It was a very popular talk, students had lots of questions. In fact some students went back to class and then came back with more questions.
Currently Will works as a pilot for British Airways. He grew up in Fleet, attending Court Moor, and Farnborough Sixth Form. After this, he joined the aeronautical engineering company Rolls-Royce as an Engineering Higher Apprentice, working on real projects and earning an income, whilst studying for a fully funded degree part-time. Finally, he completed flight training in Oxford and the USA before joining BA as a pilot.
Will spoke about the importance of this area in the history of Aviation and what the role of Pilot is, highs and lows and his journey to becoming a pilot.
