Cultural Evening
Back
Parents/Carers should have already received a letter about this event that we are running after school, along with a questionnaire link to complete if you would like to attend. It is open to families of students in Years 7 to 11, including younger siblings, and is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the cultural diversity of our school community.
As part of the celebration, families are encouraged to bring in food that reflects their cultural background. Ideally, this should be finger food, snacks, or sweet treats that do not require refrigeration or heating. However, if you would like to bring hot or chilled food, you are welcome to bring it with you at the start of the event. All food must include a list of ingredients, in case of any allergies.
In addition to food, you are also welcome to bring in artwork, ornaments, or cultural dress/costumes to showcase heritage. The event will also feature fun activities such as karaoke, limbo, and a piñata, ensuring an enjoyable and festive atmosphere.
Please take some time to discuss with your child whether this is something your family would like to participate in. Alternatively, if your family would like to attend as spectators, rather than bringing food and displaying artefacts, you are welcome to do so.
