Last Sunday, Court Moor fielded a team of 7 runners for the annual British Schools Orienteering Championships. This took place in chilly, but gloriously sunny conditions at Stowe Park, Buckinghamshire. It was the first time that Court Moor had ever entered the competition, which this year had over 350 runners from more than 40 schools from around the country participating. Best individual result goes to Charlotte S who finished an agonising 4th in the Year 9 girls competition. Best novice performance goes to Alex C in the Year 7 boys competition; he finished a very creditable 12th. Considering the number of relative newcomers in the Court Moor team, they did very well and finished 11th out of 18 in the large secondary school category.

Many congratulations to the whole team for taking part and flying the Court Moor flag at this national competition.  The team comprised James R, Aidan H Charlotte S, Aidan B, Alex C, Jake H, and Harry R.

Huge thanks to Mel Slade from Southern Navigators for providing this opportunity for our students.
