Year 8 student Rosie J has been offered a place at the England Touch Rugby Centre of Excellence.

Rosie began playing rugby just over 12 months ago and in July this year started playing Touch at Farnham Rugby Club to keep up her skills over the summer. Eight weeks after her first session, Rosie was put forward by her coaches to try out for a regional team and from there was selected to represent SE England at the Junior Touch Rugby Nationals 2025 in Nottingham. At the tournament, Rosie was voted MVP by her coaches for her defensive play and ability to close down the opposition’s space & earned a spot on the leaderboard for top ten try scorers in her age group. Following Nationals, Rosie has been offered a place at the England Touch Rugby Centre of Excellence and is now taking part in training and development sessions which not only cover technical & tactical skills but also look at strength & conditioning, nutrition and the psychological preparation needed to participate at international level.

Well done Rosie, we look forward to hearing more about your progress!
