Well done to year 11 student Cerys S, who has been accepted into the National Junior Artistic Swimming Programme.

Cerys has been an artistic swimmer since the age of 7 and is currently the Club Captain of Rushmoor Artistic Swimming Club. She has recently been asked to attend the Great Britain Artistic Swimming Junior National Trials at their training facility in Bristol. The trials were over two full days, where the athletes were tested on a number of different disciplines, from strength testing, flexibility, stamina and speed, both on land and in the water. This trial was for swimmers aged 15 to 19, who will be representing the country in international competitions in the 25/26 season. Cerys has trained for this opportunity for many years, spending 30 hours a week across gym, flexibility, ballet, speed and artistic swimming. This is a fantastic achievement, with only 20 athletes in total selected for the programme.

Again, well done Cerys, we wish you all the best for the future and look forward to hearing more news about your amazing achievements!
