Year 9 Graduation Day

Proceedings kicked off this morning with smartly dressed students and the certificate ceremony. Head of Year 9, Mrs Gillard-Jenner, gave each student their graduation certificate. There were addresses from both Assistant Head, Mr Butcher, and our Deputy Head, Mrs Metcalfe. Along with their certificates, there were awards for best dressed students, the star pupil in each tutor group, the head of year trophy, and an award for outstanding effort and achievement. We were also lucky to have Mr Riley sing for us, the appropriate Michael Bolton's Go The Distance.

Once the formalities were over it was then out onto the field with pizza, ice-cream, inflatables, football, and even some relaxing. The weather was with us again for some lovely sunshine.
