INWED Event

This Wednesday, some of our year 7 and 8 girls attended a STEM event, International Women in Engineering.

Activities included racing Lego robots, bubble sorting of numbers to compare to the speed of how computers do this, various detectors and demonstrations of objects in a vacuum, physiological and psychological aspects of STEM careers, impact testing, Lego communication and health and safety.

Their behaviour was impeccable, their communication with each other during tasks was excellent, and has piqued their interest in engineering careers.
