Duke of Edinburgh Assesssed Hike

Soaked but still smiling, our year 10 students braved torrential rain on their Duke of Edinburgh assessed hike in the New Forest last weekend.

The students showed true resilience, because 5 hours of rain meant a change in camping arrangements and very wet clothing! After an alternative night camping in a marquee, sunshine returned and the students walked their 14km, demonstrating great map skills and teamwork!

Well done cohort one you deserve your award! Cohort two's hike is in September, fingers crossed for nicer weather.
