Duke of Edinburgh Practice Hike

At the end of last month, our second cohort of year 10 students had a great time following the Duke of Edinburgh practice route, from the Wellington Statue in Aldershot back to school. The route tested the groups' map reading and compass skills, all essential for when they walk hike the New Forest on their assessed hike. Once at school, cooking and tent erecting skills were put to the test, with the day finishing with a 'tent off', girls v boys. The girls won with lots of time to spare!
