Activities Week Day Three

Activities week day three!

Year 7 were split between design technology and newsroom activities. Those involved with design technology made angel cakes, learnt about food nutrition (including trying dried crickets, for those who were brave enough!), and designed cakes. The other half of the year group had a newsroom activity, where they had to put together a news programme and then present it to staff and students.

Year 8 Tile Barn-ers had their changeover, with camp A returning and camp B heading off. Our non-Tile Barn-ers have been productive around the school with a number of activities, including a tidy up of the Dinorben quad, which looks amazing.

Year 9 were split between business studies and PE activities. Our thanks to the SATRO educational charity who supported our business studies activity. The students had to fund, design, make, and market keyrings. The PE activities culminated in Mr Hazel's “old skool” sports day, with welly and egg throwing, sack races, vortex throwing, wheelbarrow races, and much more!

(Year 10 have work experience all week, and year 11 have the last of their non-cohort GCSEs)
