Moor Than Books Summer Term

Our summer term Moor Than Books selection is inspired by classic stories. Moor Than Books is an initiative across the whole academic year to get students reading because of the significant benefit it has across all subjects.

Year 7 = Hercules by Tom Vaughan
Year 8 = Loki by Louie Stowell
Year 9 = Who Let the Gods Out by Maz Evans
Year 10 = Medusa by Jessie Burton (illustrated version also available)

Also, don't forget book bingo. Students need to follow their year group's bingo card by reading relevant books or being awarded points in Sparx Reader. When students complete a line they need to let their English teacher know and they will be awarded 10 house points. If students complete an entire bingo card they need to put it in the book bingo box in the library to be entered into the prize draw to win vouchers. For the really keen you can enter more than one bingo card. All entries must be in by 1st July 2024 for Years 7-10.
