Fluor Engineering Competition
Back
Last Tuesday a group of six year 10 students went to Fluor in Farnborough to take part in their Engineering Week Schools Engineering Competition.
Teams from six local schools competed to produce a product from very basic materials that could throw a ball of aluminium foil as far as possible into a catching device. After a very strong start (they produced a device that could throw the ball the length of the Fluor canteen) they were pipped to the prize as only one school managed to "catch" their ball.
All six students worked together brilliantly and showed great teamwork, resilience and problem solving skills. Well done!
