Drop Everything and Read

The English department are running the Drop Everything and Read initiative with our Key Stage 3 students (years 7-9). The students now have twice termly library sessions, where they get to update their Book Bingo forms and complete a literature activity. This is to with the objective of promoting interest and discussion about texts, and to help students find their next favourite read. Year 7 have also been using this time to figure out which characters are being described in extracts.
