Last term the dedicated EcoClub members worked incredibly hard to produce some absolutely amazing upcycled crafts to sell. We made the most adorable wine cork mushroom keyrings, funky newspaper bowls, time-consuming plastic bottle flower brooches, wicked googly eye microchip pins, and super cork and ice cream tub mini pin boards. We also showcased “Jerry” – an animal skull we found on the school site behind the Astro. We had a few guesses for his breed and age but no one got it! According to an Ecologist friend, he was a badger cub - around 6 months. While his loss is sad, we were grateful for his donation so we could chat to our students about what wildlife lives on site.

Not only did we raise awareness about the importance of upcycling and our animal neighbours but also £57.50 which will go to the conservation volunteers of Fleet Pond Society so we can give back to our local community.

Thank you to all who supported our efforts and if you are interested in joining us for more brilliant activities like this, we always welcome new members, every other Thursday
