Fluor Engineering Challenge - February 2020
A group of six Year 10 Engineering students attended the 2020 Fluor Engineering Challenge at the company's Headquarters in Farnborough. In this cricket-inspired challenge, they were asked to build a machine to launch a ball and knock down a wicket (made of two pencils and a rubber). They then competed against the other teams to see how many times they could knock down the wicket in three minutes. The Court Moor team produced an excellent original design, which was very effective, but were knocked into second place by a cool performance by the team from Robert Mays School.
