Year 9 Restart a Heart - October 2018
On Wednesday 17th October, Year 9 took part in the national 'Restart a Heart Day' campaign to teach vital lifesaving cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills. Fleet First Responders taught the students how to restart the heart of someone who has suffered a cardiac arrest.
The campaign aims to train more than 150,000 young people to perform CPR and it is estimated that if CPR is taught to all students in the UK up to 5,000 lives may be saved each year.
The students all behaved impeccably and it is great to know that we have sent 220 students out into Fleet with these vital life-saving skills.
