The Living Eggs company delivered 10 fertilised chicken eggs to one of our Science classrooms on Monday. We have enjoyed watching them hatch - we now have 6 hens and 4 cockerels. Living eggs allows us the opportunity to bring Science topics to life. Discussions can take place around reproduction, variation and inheritance, habitats and food chains. Lunchtime handling sessions will begin on Monday.

All chicks are collected at the end of the two weeks by Living Eggs to be placed at one of their local free-range small holdings that they have connections with https://www.livingeggs.co.uk/chick-welfare/
