Moor Than Books Autumn 1

We have been discussing our Moor Than Books choices this week in class. This year we have made some changes to the scheme and each Year group has a different book recommendation. Students across the school will be reading twice a week with their tutors too.

We are extremely excited about the books for this half term.

The choices are:
Year 7 – Marcus Rashford: You Are a Champion
Year 8 – Kenneth Oppel: Half Brother
Year 9 – Tom Hoyle: Thirteen
Year 10 and 11 – Sharon Draper: Copper Sun

Although not compulsory it is an expectation that each student will get involved in some way in reading part of all of their choice.

I’m sure you will agree it is a fantastic opportunity to get reading again, enjoy some fantastic award-winning books together and give our students the best opportunity of success in the future.
